VIDEO: KC Mathieu Takes His Frankenstein Ford Truck for a Spin

Any good gearhead knows that KC Mathieu is one of the most insanely talented paint and body guys out there. Oh and this husband, dad, and auto enthusiast is a wee-bit famous from his work in the Gas Monkey Garage, seen on Fast N’ Loud. After leaving the shop, and show, at the end of last year, KC has been up to a few endeavors of his own. When he’s not staying busy running KC’S Paint Shop & Restoration, he’s got business at home to handle, and naturally that’s going to have to include a cool classic truck and lots of smoke!

In this (parody) look inside KC’s life, we start to wonder why his wife would send him out to the store to get anything. It’s got to cost hundreds of dollars in tires every time he leaves the house! We could probably forgive him too if we got to get close to the bad to his bone Frankenstein Ford he tears up the streets with.

This 1968 Ford F100 is powered by a Ford Performance 5.0L Aluminator engine and Roush blower; the engine is fueled by an Aeromotive fuel system. Backing the engine is an American Powertrain overhauled T-56 transmission, which feeds into a Detroit Tru-Trac differential. The setup puts 700 horsepower to the ground and rides on Budnik wheels, while RideTech suspension components keep the truck stable as KC whips it around.

The blown Coyote engine is music to our ears as KC tears up the road in his classic truck. It may be just a typical morning in the Mathieu household as he takes off to complete a simple errand for the misses, but we can’t get enough of this truck. We are also really looking forward to seeing more creations coming from KC’s shop, if he ever gets back from doing chores (which is code for donuts in the parking lot).
