VINTAGE AIR TO MAKE THE RIDETECH 48 HOUR C10 EVEN COOLER AT THE SCOTTSDALE BARRETT-JACKSON AUCTION

San Antonio, Texas (January, 2017) – Vintage Air, the leading manufacturer of complete performance air conditioning systems for classics, hot rods and street rods, is excited to announce its participation in the RideTech 48-Hour C10 build. The build will take place on January 14-18, 2017 at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona and will be the centerpiece of the all-new Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Pavilion located near the staging lanes outside of the auction.

The Chevrolet/GMC C10 pickup is the most popular classic truck ever produced.  Whether treated to a complete restoration or an all-out performance build, enthusiasts of all kinds love using the C10 as their canvas to create something uniquely their own.  Now, Ride Tech, Vintage Air and 22 other leading aftermarket companies will show attendees of the world’s largest collector car auction just what can be done to a 1968 C10 given 48 hours and the right parts when they turn a stock classic into a Pro-Touring head-turner.

“We take great pride in the completeness and ease of installation of our SureFit kits and RideTech’s 48 Hour builds have been a great way to showcase that,” said Rick Love, Executive Vice President of Vintage Air.  “With this next build being conducted live in front of the throngs of classic car enthusiasts that attend Barrett-Jackson during Arizona Car Week, we know that they will appreciate how quickly we can add a truly modern climate control system to a classic truck so that the new owner can be completely comfortable spending lots of time behind the wheel.”

Vintage Air will be on hand to lend its expertise to the build with Vice President of Engineering and Technology Ryan Zwicker installing one of the company’s popular Gen IV SureFit climate control systems.  The build will be taking place live in the auction’s new DIY Pavilion and spectators will get the opportunity to see a true hands-on demonstration of just how quickly and easily one of Vintage Air’s kits can be installed.  Once the build is complete, the truck will leave the DIY Pavilion and head over to the auction block to be auctioned off on the final day of the event.
